Jacobs (CA-51) to demand that Defense Secretary Hegseth and President Trump rescind his executive order banning transgender individuals from the military and released a statement condemning the hateful and wasteful decision to remove active duty transgender servicemembers from our military.
Co-sponsored Rep. Stevens’ (MI-11) Taxpayer Data Protection Act to protect Americans’ right to privacy and safeguard the sensitive and private information of the American people and our nation’s payment system from reckless and unlawful interference.
Cosponsored Rep. Espaillat’s (NY-13) Protecting Sensitive Location’s Act to prevent ICE from entering schools and churches.
Joined nearly 200 House Democrats and every Democratic Senator in filing an amicus brief supporting Planned Parenthood and urging the Supreme Court to affirm the fourth circuit’s decision to guarantee the right to choose for Medicaid beneficiaries receiving care from qualified providers.
Supported Rep. Casten (IL-6) in calling on the Trump administration to reverse their directive minimizing enforcement of laws that protect the rights of patients to safely access reproductive health services.
Joined every House and Senate Democrat in calling out the Trump Administration’s unprecedented and illegal firing of National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Member Gwynne Wilcox. Member Wilcox’s firing revokes the NLRB’s ability to stand up for workers by ensuring that the NLRB does not have enough membership to issue rulings against employers violating workers’ rights.
Joined 191 Representatives and all 47 Democratic Senators in filing an amicus brief in support of Planned Parenthood South Atlantic (PPSAT) in SCOTUS' upcoming case to ensure Medicaid beneficiaries can continue to access healthcare at Planned Parenthood affiliates.
Worked with Rep. Gottheimer (NJ-05) to call out Acting Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator and express concern over pauses to the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) which is utilized to combat antisemitism.
Supported Rep. Crow (CO-06) in urging the full and immediate renewal of the federal contract that provides legal representation to over twenty-six thousand unaccompanied migrant children living in the US.
Joined Rep. Takano (CA-39) in demanding that the Veterans Affairs Secretary reverse recent actions to phase out treatment of gender dysphoria and cut off the delivery of healthcare to transgender and intersexual veterans.
Worked with Rep. Ansari (AZ-03) to demand that Secretary of State Marco Rubio restore the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) and allow resettlement agencies to continue to provide life saving services.
