Dear friend,
I spent another great week in the district meeting people I represent. A highlight was delivering a keynote speech for the Support the Enlisted Project's Fall Social Event. This organization supports junior active-duty enlisted members and recently discharged enlisted Veterans and their families with counseling, education, and grants. Congratulations on your 10-year anniversary!

Below is another update on the work my staff and I have done recently to serve you.
Strengthening Our San Diego-Tijuana Region
This week, I spent a few days in Mexico City to attend the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce's Binational Delegation. This event brought together key federal officials and diverse business industry leaders to discuss border infrastructure and efficiency, transboundary pollution, immigration, and trade. It was great to meet with Mexican officials to discuss the needs of our region and I was honored to participate.
The Power of Biotech in CA-52
Last week, I visited the San Diego offices of Genentech, a biotechnology company that uses science to develop medicines for people with serious and life-threatening diseases. I viewed the facility's manufacturing site, and the staff shared ways they help diversify the STEM community in San Diego.
Promoting Diversity in the Congressional Workforce
On Tuesday, members of my staff joined the House Office of Diversity and Inclusion for a special presentation about career opportunities in Congress. This was the House Office of Diversity & Inclusion's first in-person informational session in a congressional district since the beginning on COVID-19. Thank you for coming to San Diego and thank you to San Diego Mesa College for hosting us!
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or need assistance with a federal agency, reach out to us through our website or by calling the district office at 858-455-5550.
