WHERE CAN I FIND FOOD?

The San Diego Food Bank is operating during the crisis, and suggests San Diegans visit the 211 food map where you can find food in your area.

Feeding San Diego has a COVID-19 specific page that includes some food FAQs here, including Feeding San Diego’s food distribution sites countywide with a map.

You can use the San Diego Unified School District coronavirus landing page to find food services and student learning options available in your local area.

WHAT ABOUT CalFresh/SNAP BENEFITS?

While there is no expedited application process for CalFresh benefits at this time, the Families First package passed by the House would suspend work and work-training requirements for SNAP eligibility. This package would also add $500M to WIC, $250M for the Senior Nutrition Program, and would provide $400M to food banks.

To apply for CalFresh, please contact the County of San Diego or you can call 2-1-1 San Diego.
