Today, Rep. Scott Peters (CA-50) announced changes to his staff in his Washington, D.C. office. 

Adam Taylor, Rep. Peters’ previous Legislative Director will step into the D.C. Chief of Staff role following the departure of Baillee Brown, Peters’ prior D.C. Chief who served in that role since 2023. Dillon Cooke was serving as a Legislative Assistant and has been promoted to Legislative Director. MaryAnne Pintar, who has worked with Peters since 2008, continues to serve as Peters’ Chief of Staff. She is based in San Diego. 

“Adam brings a wealth of experience from his time in the Marines, on Capitol Hill, and in my office. He has ably served as a Legislative Assistant and as Legislative Director, and I’ve enjoyed watching him grow into a tenacious and smart leader,” said Rep. Peters. “Dillon has played a key role in leading my office’s healthcare and budget policy and I know he will manage all legislative strategy and priorities with the same skill and passion.”

Adam Taylor is a veteran of the US Marine Corps and will retain the military and defense policy portfolio. Taylor joined the team in 2021 as Peters’ Military Legislative Assistant and managed Peters’ legislative team and priorities before taking on the role of D.C. Chief of Staff. In this position, he will manage all D.C. operations, legislative affairs, and strategy.  He previously worked as a HillVets Fellow in the Office of Congressman Seth Moulton (MA-06) and served as an officer in the Marine Corps for four years. Taylor received his bachelor's degree in government and economics from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA in 2014 and a master’s degree in international relations from American University’s School of International Service in Washington, D.C. in 2020. He is currently a student in the U.S. Naval War College’s defense and strategy master's program. 

Originally from San Diego, Dillon Cooke holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and political science from the University of California, San Diego along with a master’s degree in public administration and a concentration in health policy from American University. Cooke joined Team Peters at the beginning of 2021 as the Legislative Correspondent before becoming the Health Legislative Assistant in 2022 and now Legislative Director.
