Dear friend,
Next week, my office will host a discussion with Feeding San Diego on food recovery and State Senate Bill 1383. I invite you and your office to participate and learn how this bill will make a difference in your municipality ahead of January 1, 2022, when the first tier of SB 1383 goes into effect.
This bill requires that California recover 20 percent of edible food by 2025. Feeding San Diego will join me to further discuss the details of this legislation and update you on how the organization can assist to support those facing food insecurity throughout San Diego County.
