Dear Friend,

Recent events and revelations have made it clear we need impartiality as we struggle to unearth the facts around Russian influence over the White House and our institutions.

The President fired FBI Director James Comey amid the FBI’s investigation into the Trump Administration’s alleged ties to the Russian government. Then, President Trump confirmed the Washington Post’s story that he shared classified intelligence with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak during their closed meeting in the Oval Office.

Appointing a special counsel to shield this investigation from the White House is the right decision, but doesn't let Congress off the hook. As your representative, I’d like to know where you stand. Take part in my survey to share your thoughts and join my email updates:

Do you think Congress needs to create an independent commission to investigate interference in our election and ties between the White House and Russia?

Yes, we need an independent commission.

No, we don't need an independent commission.

I’m not sure.

Sincerely,
