Dear friend,
Next week, my office will host two virtual events to inform the people I represent about trade and the San Diego economy, and COVID-19-related scams targeting seniors.
On Monday, to mark May as World Trade Month, local experts will share how trade grows our local economy and how trade businesses are handling the fallout due to COVID-19. Joe Stuyvesant from Port of San Diego, Nikia Clarke from World Trade Center San Diego, Matt Anderson from U.S. Commercial Service, and Paul Duncan from Export Import Bank of the United States will join as panelists.
On Tuesday, we will discuss how seniors and their loved ones can identify scams and the steps they can take to protect their personal information. I will be joined by Kevin Durawa from the California Contractors State License Board, Sally Kim Westlake from the California Department of Insurance, and Jackie Wiley from the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation.
See times and event details below.
