SAN DIEGO — Last month, Rep. Scott Peters’ (CA-50) Peters’ staff from Washington D.C. joined members of Peters’ district office staff in San Diego to tour new areas of California’s 50th district. They visited the San Ysidro Port of Entry to understand our region’s connections to Mexico, took a driving tour of Escondido and San Marcos, and took a walking tour of Balboa Park, Hillcrest and North Park. Rep. Peters’ staff also held several working sessions to improve constituent communications and to hone their legislative focus to ensure their work in Washington best serves the new demographics of the 50th district.

“My success in Congress heavily depends on the work of my staff and how well they collaborate with their counterparts across the country,” said Rep. Peters. “Connecting my staff in person reinforces bonds that facilitate our work for the people of the 50th district. This year’s retreat was one of the best our office has ever had. I wholeheartedly thank my staff for their time and commitment to their work.”
