Press Releases
Today, U.S. Congressman Scott Peters (CA-52) released the following statement after the Special Counsel’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 election was delivered to the Department of Justice:
“Last week, the House voted unanimously to make Special Counsel Mueller’s report public. Now that the Special Counsel has delivered the report to the Department of Justice, the Attorney General must provide Congress the full report and related findings. This is a vital part of our role to defend rule of law and be a check on potential abuse of executive power. The American people also deserve to see the report; our democracy depends on transparency and accountability. Attorney General Barr must release a declassified version of the report as soon as possible.”
