This bill will create an interagency council to improve the government’s preparation and response to extreme weather events. In doing so, agencies must consider extreme weather events in their planning in order to minimize future preparation and response costs. The council will also work closely with local and state stakeholders to help them formulate emergency plans related to their regional needs.
