Dear Friend,

In light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, I started a new video miniseries to update constituents about COVID-19 and talk about how Congress is working to help the American people throughout this global crisis.

The miniseries, called Rep. Peters In Place, also serves as a reminder to you that my staff is standing by to answer questions and offer help to find and navigate the resources available to San Diegans during this difficult time.

This week, we posted three episodes:

For this installment of Rep. Peters In Place, we tackled the topic of remote voting for Congress. Congress should enable a remote voting system in cases of emergency, not just for times like now, but to prepare for future disasters that could potentially prevent member travel.

For this episode of Rep. Peters In Place, I traveled to Washington to vote on the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, an interim relief package that will replenish funds for assistance programs like the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and Emergency Insurance Disaster Loans (EIDL), as well as increase investments in hospitals and testing efforts.

All working remotely from home, they are standing by to answer your questions.

You can find these editions of of Rep. Peters In Place and more by following me on Facebook and Twitter. We are currently working to get the episodes up on my Instagram and YouTube pages, as well.

We encourage you to visit the COVID-19 Resources and Updates page on our website to learn more about the different resources that may be available to you. If you have questions, you can call us at (858) 455-5550.

Please continue to be smart and stay safe as we face this challenge together.

Sincerely,
