December 19, 2019
Dear Friend,
As 2019 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to say how humbled I am to represent the people of San Diego, Coronado, and Poway.
We've made a lot of progress on policies important to our region: climate, gun violence, equal rights, and more. At home, we've continued to help San Diegans navigate federal resources and get them the benefits they earned.
 |
|
We returned $541,694 to San Diegans, who had trouble getting money they were owed by the Social Security Administration, the IRS, the VA, and more. |
|
Our office helped 1,746 San Diegans navigate federal agencies to get answers about their benefits and how to access them.
If you are struggling to get an answer from a federal agency, or feel you have not received a timely response or have been treated unfairly, you can contact my office for help.

While we cannot promise a favorable outcome, we will do our best to get you a fair and timely response.
One of my most important jobs is hearing directly from San Diegans about their thoughts, ideas, and concerns.
We read and responded to 45,810 letters, phone calls, and emails because I want you to feel your voice is being heard and I want to let you know where I stand on the issues that matter most to San Diegans.
Your input is always welcome and I encourage you to reach out to my office anytime.
Our staff attended 450 events and meetings to share the progress we've made in Congress and to hear directly from you.
We also presented 811 certificates and proclamations to individuals making a difference in our communities over the course of the year.
