Protecting the Right to Choose

  • Spoke out against Republican’s anti-choice agenda on the floor and in committee supporting a woman’s right to choose amid attacks on these rights from all levels of government.
  • Cosponsored the Women’s Health Protection Act, which creates a statutory right for health care providers to provide abortion care free from restrictions that target abortion and impede access.
  • Cosponsored the Ensuring Women’s Right to Reproductive Freedom Act, which prohibits any person acting under color of state law from punishing women traveling for the purpose of accessing reproductive health care.
  •

Preserving Access to Contraception

  • Cosponsored the Right to Contraception Act, which would codify the Constitutional right to contraception, protecting an individual’s ability to use contraception and a health care provider’s ability to provide information about and access to contraception.
  • Advocated against judicial decisions to turn back the clock on medication abortion approval.

Care for Servicemembers

  • Protect and preserve servicemembers’ access to reproductive healthcare in the National Defense Authorization Act by cosponsoring amendments that would eliminate harmful abortion bans in the military and would expand the Department of Defense’s current reproductive health care leave & travel policy to ensure greater protections for servicemembers who are forced to seek reproductive health care off base.
  • Cosponsored the Access to Contraception for Servicemembers and Dependents Act which would remove cost barriers to contraception for servicemembers and their dependents.
